I have always considered myself a creative person. As a young woman I found myself expressing my creativity through dance, art, singing, writing etc… But the moment I stumbled onto jewelry making, I knew I had found my passion.
I began making my pieces when I was on vacation with my family. I found a bead store and was moved by all the colours and shapes and knick knacks and just wanted to put it all together and adorn myself with it. Well I did, and I was shocked when I realized how beautiful my pieces were when I was done. I gave that very first piece to my mother (the most chic woman I know) and when I saw her reaction, I knew I had something special. But more importantly the peace and serenity I felt while making that necklace was immeasurable.
I believe that women have the right to feel and look beautiful and feminine at any time of the day….dressed or undressed. And the fresh natural colours and materials I use make women feel just that. Michelle Taryn is not just something I do, but something I love and my jewelry reflects that.
